Ariel’s journey to success began with a lot of disadvantages. Growing up in the foster system, and though eventually adopted, she saw the lack of support for children like herself going through the DHS system. |

Leg Up - Our Why?
CEM has continued to grow over the years, taking on new therapists who have personal journeys with adoption. Although we have been able to support our community in many ways, we want to give back in a more personal way.
Leg Up is our way of giving back to children that have been overlooked, under appreciated, and unwelcome. Leg Up stands for exactly that. Here’s to finally having an advantage for a change!

Leg Up 2025 Scholarship Program
Below are the requirements for the Leg Up Scholarship Program:
- Graduating senior within the Washington/Benton Counties
- Planning on attending a 2 or 4-year College or University, Vocational school, or Technical Institution in the Fall of 2024/Spring 2025.
- Has been in DHS, whether past or current
- Minimum GPA of 2.5
- Recommendation letter required from a teacher, coach, counselor, advocate, or mentor figure
- Written essay detailing students passions, goals, and how the scholarship will benefit them in the long run. (Essay ranging from 200-650 words)
- Must show student has applied, is applying, or acceptance letter to a qualified school listed above (College, University, Vocational, Technical Institute)
Leg Up 2025 Scholarship Details
Below are the Leg Up Scholarship details and process for applications:
- Two scholarships - $1000 and $500
- May 1st is the deadline for scholarship application
- Leg Up Scholarship will be offered YEARLY
- CEM Team will make final decisions by end of day May 31st
- Applicants will be notified no later than May 31st end of day
- Applicant will only receive one scholarship offered by CEM
- Applicant may apply for scholarships yearly with proof of attendance to a qualified school listed above (College, University, Vocational, Technical Institute)
- All applications with additional requirements need to be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at Competitor’s Edge Massage location in Fayetteville.
