INSPIRATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS:

"Grayson is a super active 9 year old! Unfortunately, he was at a jump park and hurt his lower back. This was affecting him greatly as a travel baseball player. It hurt to run, pitch, and swing the bat. Thankfully, we had Ariel to help with recovery! Not only did she do an amazing physical assessment and sports therapy session, she educated him on taking care of his body pre/post games! Just after one visit, he was back to 100%.  We have now made it routine to visit Ariel for sports therapy sessions!" - Mom

Hi everyone, my name is Alena Brooks. - Trinidad and Tobago national record holder (800m indoors and outdoors and 600m indoors)  2018 CAC silver medalist, NACAC finalist. Ariel has been able to offer me healing hands through aches, pains, soreness, injury, tightness (and anything you can think of) from being a professional track athlete and pounding my body constantly. I have always felt comfortable, cared for and safe on her table, she listens! She takes her cue from you. You get to decide if you need quiet during the session or if you are up for comfortable conversation. Ariel can accommodate either. She checks in with you, asks for feedback and is responsive in her methods of individualizing her care. What takes Ariel a step further is that she encourages me to be an active participant in my own treatment by putting me to work with passive resistance stretches or offering me suggestions of rehabilitative exercises that I can do at home or at my training facility. She is open to ideas and interested to know what works for you and is thoroughly invested in your goals! She wants your goals to be realized as much as you do. Sometimes I think of it as my goals have become hers as well because she knows the instrumental role she plays in it. Thank you Ariel, for being there for me, for my recovery and heading full on towards my goals with me!

I cannot say enough about Ariel and her ability to keep people on the road to their dreams. I’m attempting at age 52 to run the 6 Abbott World Major Marathons. With Ariel’s expertise and professionalism, I was able to complete 3 marathons in 7 weeks this fall.
She helped me combat numerous novice marathon running mistakes. Ariel also conquered my travel jet lag. I ran Berlin then Chicago and lastly New York City. It was tough to start with the first marathon on another continent.... to say I came back tight is an understatement.
Ariel also provides access to the additional gadgets you need on this type of journey via her inhouse store.
I truly believe without Ariel I would not be on this road AGAIN to the Boston Marathon on April 15th and London Marathon April 28th.
Although there are times I like to say Ariel is TOO good at deep tissue, I am always grateful when I hit the pavement the next day lose and ready to keep running.
In addition, Ariel is a kind supporter. Messaging me encouragement before each race. Always going the extra mile to ensure I make the EXTRA MILE!
Grateful, Cheryl Dastugue

Bernard Oliver began boxing in high school as a way to improve his hand-eye coordination for football and to learn self-defense.  His boxing cross-training quickly blossomed into a love for the sweet science of the sport. His continued involvement and love of the sport led him to Straightright Springdale in 2013 where he is currently on staff as an assistant coach and trainer and point of contact for all customer service needs.
Since joining the Straightright Boxing Team he has competed in numerous national competitions; winning his first National Title tournament as a novice at super heavyweight in 2015. In 2018 he added his second state Golden Gloves Championship, his first regional Golden Gloves championship and his first Golden Gloves national berth all at heavyweight.
Competitor's Edge helped me:
- By relieving the stresses boxing puts on my body. It is very important to be loose and limber as a boxer.
- improved my flexibility which in turn improved my strength and most importantly my speed
- also cleared up small technical deficiencies that were created from problems with muscle recovery. Technique improves all my natural strengths in boxing.
- also helped me sleep combined with a hot yoga regimen

My name is Kellin Lee. I’m a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and a powerlifter in the 275 lb weight class. I have competed in strongman and powerlifting for 2 and a half years. I got into strength sports while in the Marine Corps. I have always loved lifting and I have a competitive nature. Competitors Edge Massage has helped me get ready for competitions, get over old and new injuries, and prep my body on meet day to push big numbers on the platform. Massage therapy is one of the most important parts of my recovery strategy and Competitors Edge delivers a service quality that is hard to find and at a price that I can afford.

Ariel with Competitors Edge stopped by the gym I work/ train at and dropped off her business cards. My buddy told me about her so I decided to Google the business. ALL the reviews raved about how great Ariel is and how she is informative and passionate about her work, so I knew I was in good hands!
After about 2 minutes into my deep tissue massage I instantly knew why athletes hired her to help with recovery. She is not afraid to dig those kinks and knots out which is what I was longing for, due to an injury from one of my fights. But the best part is the advice and "homework" she leaves you with to continue the healing/ recovery process.
Since I've been going I can't brag enough about how Ariel with Competitors Edge has helped me continue to throw my punches with the velocity and tenacity needed to compete and win at my level. Book your appointment today, you wont be disappointed!

Omar McLeod recently sent me his testimonial about his experience with me as his massage therapist:
"My journey with Ariel, one of my absolute favorite people, started around April. I was in desperate need of someone who first of all knew how to massage, and also was passionate about what they do and was willing to work with me and be my personal massage therapist. My good friend Sparkle Mcknight referred me to her and I was a bit skeptical at first but wanted to give it a go based on how persuasive and confident she was about Ariel. When I met her and we had our first session, it was truly remarkable! I might've cried a little bit lol, but it was definitely worth it and the way my body felt after was what I've been wanting to feel for a long time. I was lose , flexibility was x10 and I knew then I had found my personal massage therapist. I also have to elaborate on how smart, humorous, funny and God fearing she is! The best in my biased opinion."

I want to highlight one of my newer massage clients, Chris.
He has been lifting and competing for 7 years now. He came to me a couple weeks ago knowing he needed some deep work so that he could continue training efficiently for his recent competition. He sent me this message with
these pictures:
"Your new client won first place today in the men's open and over 40. Squatted 500, benched 360, and deadlifted 625."
If you don't know anything about lifting, thats alright. I'll help you by saying those numbers are good. That deadlift is killer!
Congratulations to Chris for getting proper care when he needed it and pushing to achieve his goals!!

Congratulations to Christa for completing her first half marathon! She has gone through many medical issues that left her doctors saying she was unlikely to ever run again, but with hard work and dedication, she has overcome those odds! Not only did Christa run to overcome these obstacles, but she ran for her father who was a runner himself and is now in his last stages of ALS.
Christa is pictured on the far left along with her two sisters that ran along side her. Talk about a story worth noting!
Thank you Christa for allowing CEM to be part of your journey!!!
